Why mopping makes grout darker

Grout is a porous cement. A mop cleans the glazed tile face and leaves a film of dirty water in every joint. Over months that soil builds up, and no spray from the store can pull it back out.

A deep clean uses the right cleaner for your tile, brushes every grout line and rinses with extraction, so the soil leaves the floor. Sealing afterwards keeps the next spill on the surface where you can wipe it up.

Tell us three things

  • Square footage. Length times width for floors. For a shower, the walls plus the floor; a standard shower is about 80 to 100 sq ft.
  • Floor or shower. Soap scum and hard-water scale need a different approach from kitchen grease.
  • Tile type. Ceramic and porcelain, or natural stone like marble, travertine and slate, which needs stone-safe products.

Cracked or missing grout?

Cleaning cannot fix grout that has failed. Regrouting and tile repair are priced by quote: send the details and a few photos and we reply with a price.

Frequently asked questions

What do you need from me for a price?

Your ZIP code, the square footage, whether it is a floor or a shower, and whether the tile is ceramic or porcelain or natural stone such as marble, travertine or slate.

How do I measure square footage?

Multiply length by width for each floor area and add them up. For a shower, add each wall (width times height) and the floor. A standard shower is about 80 to 100 square feet of tile.

Is there a minimum?

Yes. Small jobs are charged a minimum visit, which depends on your area. The quote shows it when it applies.

Do I have to pay online?

No. You can pay online to book, or send your request and pay after the job is done.

What if the square footage is different on the day?

The crew measures before starting. If the area is clearly bigger or smaller than the quote, the price is adjusted to the same rate before any work begins.
