Some stains are in the grout, not on it. Years of mop water, rust, dye or hard-water minerals can leave joints patchy even after a deep clean. Color sealant is a tinted coating made for grout: it covers the old color and seals the joint in one step.
You can match the original shade, or change it. Gray grout can go back to white, or a dated color can go to a modern neutral.
How color sealing works
- Deep clean and full dry of the grout
- Color chosen with you from the crew's color chart
- Color sealant brushed into each joint by hand
- Excess removed from the tile face before it cures
- A final check for even coverage
Is it color sealing or regrouting?
Color sealing is for grout that is sound but discolored. If the grout is cracked, crumbling, missing or the tiles move, the joints need to be replaced, and that is a regrouting job. The quote form lets you pick the one that sounds right; the crew confirms it.
Where it works best
Kitchen and bathroom floors, entryways and backsplashes. In showers it works on sound grout that dries fully between uses; a shower with soft or failing joints should be regrouted first.
